The villa lies in a peaceful and quiet area, overlooking vineyards, hamlets and farmhouses dotted across the picturesque rolling hills with the beautiful lake Butoniga as a backdrop. However, the proud medieval city of Pazin is just 7 km away.
Built on steep cliffs overlooking the mighty deep chasm, it has always been the subject of stories, legends and interests. Such remarkable scenery has inspired the famous French writer Jules Verne, as well as many other Croatian writers, so you definitely won't be let uninspired. It boasts the best-preserved castle in Istria, a massive building from which once the whole Istria was governed. The castle is now a museum, which, among other things, keeps old Istrian bells.
Below the castle, the river Pazinčica descends, while the well-known Pazin Chasm is still keeping its secrets. The cave, with its impressive lakes, is still a challenge for speleologists while the whole area abounds in beautiful natural masterpieces of waterfalls, streams and indented relief.
Apart from plenty of historical and cultural sights, exceptional traditional cuisine, excellent Malvasia and homemade grappa, Pazin and its surroundings offer varied places for an active holiday. Sports and adventure enthusiasts will find plentiful activities: ziplining, mountain and recreation cycling, a large number of walking and hiking trails surrounded by beautiful natural phenomena and almost forgotten old churches and palaces.
There are also famous locations for free climbing, impressive speleological trips, fishing in fresh waters, while this whole attractive territory can be visited by horseback riding, while getting to know the treasures of the former county of Pazin.
The attractive Adriatic coast is easily reached along excellent roads.
