At the edge of the olive grove we have built a detached house. We have called it "La Vista" because of the beautiful view of the olive trees and the valley.
The house has 2 bedrooms, each with a private bathroom with walk-in shower and a living room with kitchen and dining table. The house has central heating, but also a wood stove. Through the large French doors of both bedrooms and living room you come on the terrace and in the evening you can enjoy the sunset. There is a flat screen with DVD player.
Discover and experience the real Catalonia. In the hinterland of the Costa Brava, in an Arcadian landscape, lies the completely restored masía Can Lluís, complete with swimming pool. Can Lluís has four holiday homes, suitable for 1 to 5 people.
Here you will find peace and quiet in a comfortable entourage. Can Lluís is located two kilometers outside the medieval village of Cistella, in the middle of nature, at 240 meters altitude, at the foot of the Pyrenees, and overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

This place is fantastic! The surrounding area is so peaceful and beautiful. You hear sheep bells and see herders moving the sheep around the hills. There are little hillside towns and deep woods all around this area. The accommodations are fabulous and the hosts are very nice and quite accommodating. Full kitchen to cook meals and stay in and we also had a huge private patio. This is the quintessential farmhouse experience and was quite private and quiet.
I highly recommend this location and this apartment. There is so much within driving distance for day trips.
Can Lluis is a great example of how you can combine comfort and class (quality furnishings, spacious accommodation, nice artistic touches) with respect for the environment (solar panels, natural wastewater treatment, etc) while on holiday. I agree with all the nice things said in the other reviews (note that the photos on the website don't do it justice).
Carien's home cooking was so good we didn't even get to try the local restaurants! And our kids enjoyed cycling the 2 km into the village to buy bread and other supplies.
Thanks to Carien and Rinus for their warm welcome, we hope to come back soon and wish you every success in your labour of love!
Beautiful location. Very peaceful. Far away enough to feel we'd got away from it all but within walking distance to a lovely little village with a great restaurant. There's masses to do within a reasonable distance for day trips - walking in the Pyrenees, rugged coastal walks, Dali museum, Girona etc. And the local landscape is littered with medieval villages, castles and monasteries.
