Veerse Meer has been a favorite with surfers and sailors from home and abroad for years. The extensive water (more than twenty kilometers long!) offers water sports enthusiasts a wonderful feeling of freedom. There are scaffolding built on both the islands that are scattered in the lake and on shore, so that the water sports enthusiast can enjoy all the beauty around. But even without a sailboat or board, the area has more than enough in store. A variety of landscapes on the banks of the lake offer just as many opportunities for relaxation and effort on the waterfront.
The most characteristic of the Kamperland village is its shape. The long Veerweg forms the hub of the village and here you will find the most activity. In this street you will certainly find everything you need for your daily groceries. With two marinas Kamperland is strongly focused on water tourism. Maybe this has something to do with the former boat connection between Kamperland and Veere. From the old ferry dock in the summer months you can still cross the Veerse Meer towards Veere with a foot ferry. A nice way to visit this breathtakingly beautiful town. A stone's throw from our bungalow.
