Holiday home Huize Porteman is centrally located in West Flanders at 28 km from the coast, 19 km from Ypres, 8 km from Roeselare, 14 km from Diksmuide, 13 km from Torhout and 32 km from Poperinge and 35 km from Bruges.

The house is equipped with free WIFI, cable TV and radio-CD player, DVD player, football table, djembe, piano, dishwasher, microwave, oven and central heating. A cot-seat and park are available on request.

All beds in the holiday accommodation, which are also equipped with bed linen, are box springs except for the bunk bed. There is a possibility to rent a towel package for the price of € 4.00 per set.

In the garden, adjacent to the house, a south-facing terrace with garden furniture. The house also has a closed parking of 70 m² behind the house. There is a space for bicycles or motorbikes. The total surface area is 475m².

Neighborhood

Staden is a rural municipality, consisting of the Staden, Oostnieuwkerke and Westrozebeke cores. It is a place whose landscape brings a person to rest. The beautiful vistas from the Stadense ridge reach over Ypres and the West Flemish hills.

The crest of Westrozebeke forms a striking relief element. The Mandel and the Liège Brook are engraved in the landscape. The visitor walks along surprisingly beautiful and quiet corners along the paved walking and cycling roads.

In addition to the valuable agricultural landscape, there are also other natural elements in Staden. For example, there is the Middle-West-Flemish ridge stretching from Esen (Diksmuide), Klerken (Houthulst), Stadenberg, Westrozebeke, Passendale, Zonnebeke to finally transfer to Zillebeke in the West-Flemish Hills. The beautiful vistas from the hillside reach over Ypres and these West Flemish hills. Part of the ridge also forms the watershed line between IJzer and Leie.

In the past the region around Staden was a wooded area, of which the Vrijbos in Houthulst is still a left over.
