Charming place in Puglia!
We (couple with a 2-year-old toddler) stayed in this masseria at the begin of April. Weather wasn't that good and therefore the apartment was cold, but owner Ricardo provided us some heating, which illustrates his hospitality. We really loved to stay at the masseria! It's a charming place in a beautiful surrounding, very quiet. The main area is full of history. The apartment itself is basic but clean. Ricardo is very friendly and helpful, a great host! And last but not least: the provided cooking (on request) is very very delicious and a recommendation!
Very friendly people and fantastic accomodation for our honeymoon!
We arrived late at night at the masseria, where Riccardo was waiting for us. The accomodation was lovely and the environment of the masseria was very peaceful, quiet and relaxed. It was nice to lay near the pool and to visit some towns in the area. If we wanted, we could do a wine tasting with Riccardo. The personnel of the masseria were very nice and helpful. It was great to stay here and we would recommend it to everyone who's looking for a relaxed vacation!
We stayed here for our family holidays this year and really enjoyed our stay.
We stayed in the Melograno which is very spacious but a little old fashioned.
The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.
The pool area is wonderful and there are nice garden areas to explore.
The apartment and the patio areas were quite dusty. There is air conditioning, but only in two of the bedrooms and the large bedroom was very hot.
The owner was very friendly and helpful.
If you are looking for rural isolation and peace this is the place. A car is essential here and the town of San Vito is not the most picturesque.
This is a beautiful part of Italy with lovely towns to explore. This is a very poor part of Italy and in parts it is more like the developing world than Western Europe.
Ostuni, Martina Franca and Locorotondo were our favourite towns.
Perfect family holiday. We stayed at the beautiful Tenuta Deserto in July 2012 for two weeks and couldn't have been happier. The owners bent over backwards to look after us and really made us feel at home. We arrived in the evening after a long drive with our 3 year old and 6 month old baby, we quickly settled in and had a delicious supper in the restaurant, which included special non dairy dishes for my milk intolerant son.. For most of our stay we cooked for ourselves but it was fantastic to know we only had to ask in the morning and dinner would be provided. Lovely big swimming pool surrounded by centuries old olive trees - even a mini swimming pool for the babies! The houses are charming and spacious, clean and well equipped. The tenuta has been in the owners' family for generations and has a wonderful old world feel. We highly recommend!
