Description

This charming luxury villa is ideal for your vacation in a calm forest area close to the seaside and offers accommodation for 10 persons.

The villa was built in 2011 and offers all the necessary comforts for a relaxing holiday all year around. The facade of the villa is covered in white stone as are the walls surrounding the garden. The interior is decorated in a Mediterranean style with care, fine arts and taste.

The villa is located on the island of Rab, one of the sunniest Adriatic islands. The villa is situated in a calm area of the Kalifront peninsula, in the middle of a 1.400 ha large holm oak (Quercus ilex) and pine forest, close to the special reserve of the forest vegetation Dundo. The villa is only 4 km from the centre of the town Rab, a 2000 years old town and the residential center of the island. Its nearest seaside location is the area of Suha Punta, the most beautiful touristic part of the island of Rab.

A lot of other fantastic sand and pebble beaches can be easily reached by walking or by bike: Matovica, Ćifnata, Gožinka, Sv. Kristofor... The villa is near the forest road suitable for hiking and biking with cca 50 km of roads. It is ideal for environment friendly families and groups of friends who like nature, the calm of forest and swimming in the clear sea.

The island of Rab
Settled by Illyrians in 350BC, Rab became ancient Roman municipality in the 1st century BC and developed into center of the eastern coast of Adriatic, called Felix Arba ( Arb is Illyric for dark, lush).

Its glory days began between the second half of the XI. century all the way to XIII century, when it was governed by the Croatian rulers, as well as members of Venetian republic in a form of a free Adriatic comune. It was later sold to Venice in the 15th century and remained in their rule all the way to the 1798. when Napoleon came to these parts.

Among the fun facts is the story of the local stone mason, St. Marino, who moved to the Apenine peninsula to start the Republic of San Marino in the 4th century. He is the saint patron of Lopar and very important to locals.
