The original agricultural activity of this fertile plain, mainly centring on grapes and olives, has been maintained since Greek times to the present. The site is also a natural reserve. The landscape features ancient stone walls and bears testimony to the ancient geometrical system of land division used by the ancient Greeks, the “chora” which has remained virtually intact over 24 centuries.
The property belongs to UNESCO’s heritage and is situated in untouched nature near Stari Grad (Old Town) on the Adriatic island of Hvar. Stari Grad is the oldest town in Croatia and is situated in a landscape where the blue of the deep bay touches the green of the wide and famous field of Pharos, with vineyards and olive-groves.
Today, both the fields and the bay add an attractive quality to the island, in which the modern vacation sights have become intertwined with the antiquities of the town and of the island.
Hidden deep in a wonderful nature of this island, the villa is close enough to the town but far away from the busy crowd. Discover the exceptional and breath-taking surroundings with the nearest beaches just 800m away, easily accessible by foot, car or bike.
