The Villa complex is located in Hvar Town on the island of Hvar, in the area called Burag. It is located in the historic core – the very center of the town, only 20 meters from the sea and the main town promenade.
It is a complex of 450 m² on three floors, 5 bedrooms with bathrooms, a large living room with a library and fireplace, kitchen and dining room. The lowest floor houses wellness facilities (sauna, Jacuzzi, massage room) and a wine cellar.
Beside the house, there is a large 200m² garden with Mediterranean vegetation – lemons, oranges, figs, lavender, rosemary…, and, in the old Gothic house, which is an integral part of the garden, there is a heated 6×4 pool that can be transformed from an indoor to an outdoor pool by opening the roof.
Baroque house
The main entrance with staircase and the water tank are located on the ground floor. The living room (45 m²) with balcony door, two double rooms (27m² and 20m²) – each with a bathroom, hallway, WC and kitchen with dining room (35m²) and balcony door to the interior courtyard are located on the elevated first floor.
The 200m² garden is enclosed by a stone wall that is over two meters high. It is covered in Mediterranean vegetation (lemons, oranges, figs, lavender…). There is also a dining table for 10 people as well as garden furniture with deckchairs by the pool.
There are a hallway and three double rooms (50m², 36m² and 25m²) on the first floor – each with its own bathroom.
Medieval (Gothic) House
It is connected to the Baroque palace on the ground floor. The first floor houses an indoor pool (approx. 25m²) with movable walls that can be opened, thus transforming the pool into an outdoor pool connected to the garden.
The lowest floor (40m²) houses the wellness facilities (sauna, whirlpool, relaxation room, massage room, shower, WC and a small trim).
Connected to this is a wine cellar with a selection of first class Croatian and foreign wines.

Hvar is the number-one holder of Croatia’s superlatives: it’s the most luxurious island, the sunniest place in the country (2724 sunny hours each year) and, along with Dubrovnik, the most popular tourist destination. Hvar Town, the island’s capital, is all about swanky hotels, elegant restaurants, trendy bars and clubs, posh yachts and a general sense that, if you care about seeing and being seen, this is the place to be. The coastal towns of Stari Grad and Jelsa, the cultural and historical centres of the island, are the more serene and discerning spots.
Hvar is also famed for the lilac lavender fields that dot its interior, as well as for other aromatic plants such as rosemary and heather. The interior of the island hides abandoned ancient hamlets, towering peaks and verdant, largely uncharted landscapes. It’s worth exploring on a day trip, as is the southern end of the island, which has some of Hvar’s most beautiful and isolated coves.
Hvar Island seems to have a soul, a tangible aroma combining lavender, sage, rosemary, heather, mint, myrtle, thyme and countless other herbs which thrive in its soil, making it the Mediterranean's largest botanical garden. The blessings of nature and favourable historical circumstances have made the area around Hvar Island a particularly fascinating part of the Adriatic coastline.
From the earliest signs of human habitation to the present day, it has benefitted from the influence of different civilisations, which have created layer upon layer of cultural history. Hvar Island today, though small, is dotted with enduring symbols and covered in a closely-woven network of historical monuments.
Hvar Island enjoys more days of sunshine than any other in the Adriatic and since the dawn of history has been the inspiring refuge of many peoples, from early Neolithic Mediterranean builders, the Hellenists who settled the towns of Hvar (particularly in the city of Pharos), the Romans, who built its harbours and towns, to the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque eras, when the island became a shining example of spiritual and artistic progress.
In recent times, Hvar Island has again featured on the Mediterranean cultural map, and has become an elite summer resort. No wonder then that Traveller magazine rated it among the 10 most beautiful islands in the world.
This is an island bursting with life, its vegetation, rocks and sea reflecting every ray of sunlight. This is an island where the Sun feels at home. Physical sensations are taken onto the plane of dreams and enjoyment is as deep as the sea. You do not need to travel far to experience life at its fullest – just sail from cove to cove around Hvar. Hvar Island is proof that the best dreams can come true, or rather, the real world can seem like a dream.
